Helvetica is one of the most widely used sans serif typefaces and has been a popular choice for logos, including American Airlines, BMW, Harley Davidson, Jeep and many more. The theme for these playing cards is based on the many uses of the typeface relating to transportation from the corporate logos stated and the use in signage for the New York City Subway. The color scheme is derived from the primary triadic color scheme found in many of the corporate logos which use Helvetica. Black and red are used throughout with the addition of yellow in the face cards to distinguish them from the number cards.
